Hastings resident, Mildred M. Taylor, 99, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Tom Murray and Pastor Herb Scott officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016; 3:30 P.M. in Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family. Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2016; 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Mildred was born February 28, 1917 in Auburn, Nebraska to Edgar E. & Henrietta (Taft) Llewellyn. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1935. Mildred married Dale M. Taylor on July 19, 1936 in Hiawatha, Kansas; he preceded her in death on September 10, 1982. Mildred was employed as a telephone operator for LT&T in Auburn, Tecumseh and Nebraska City until her retirement in 1979. She moved from Auburn to Hastings in 1988. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tecumseh and Hastings. She was currently a member of Juniata Community Church, Juniata, Nebraska.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale M. Taylor; one daughter, Lois Kroll; two great-grandchildren; seven brothers; and five sisters.
