Milton Borrell, Sr

Hastings resident, Milton C. Borrell, Sr., 85, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, June 9, 2017; 1:30 P.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Milton was born June 13, 1931 in Juniata, Nebraska to Charles S. & Anna M. (Koler) Borrell . Milton married Olga Pateck on February 13, 1970. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949 until 1950.

Milton was employed at Hastings Industries for 26 years. Milton also worked at Hastings Fairgrounds and Butler Volland Funeral Home as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Eagles. He was also involved with the South Central Czech Society.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; three brothers; son, Milton Borrell, Jr.; daughter, Donna Borrell; sister and brother-in-law, Rita & Milo Ptacek; and grandson, Josh Hedlund.
