Minnie Kendig

September 11, 1903 — December 4, 2004

Former Hastings resident, Minnie Elizabeth Kendig, 101, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, died Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Lake Havasu Regional Hospital, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Services will be Tuesday, December 14, 2004; 1:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William G. Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Kendig was born September 11, 1903 on the family farm in Dawson County, near Gothenburg, Nebraska to Nels B. & Ida (Johnson) Anderson. She attended schools in Gothenburg and completed nurse's training in Omaha, Nebraska. In October of 1928, she married Norman L. Kendig and they resided in Hastings, Nebraska where they owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, Shrine Auxiliary and was a 66 year member of Eastern Star. She resided in Lake Havasu for five years.

Mrs. Kendig was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman in 1998, four brothers and three sisters.
