Miss Longsine

May 20, 1927 — August 2, 2004

Hastings resident, Maxine Longsine, 77, of 819 N. Bellevue, died Monday, August 2, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Graveside service and burial will be Friday, August 6, 2004; 11:00 A.M. at Alma City Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska with Brother James Ruberson officiating.

Ms. Longsine was born May 20, 1927 in Alma, Nebraska to Edward & Agnes (Pititjean) Longsine. She graduated from Orleans High School, Orleans, Nebraska. Miss Longsine started her nursing career in 1944 as a nurse cadet. After graduating from Mary Lanning School of Nursing in Hastings, she worked for Hastings Regional Center for 41 years. She worked in the Department of Public Institutions for 28 years and 13 years in the Division of Rehabilitation Services as a case worker. She retired in January of 1988.

Ms. Longsine was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Don Longsine and Lawrence Longsine and three sisters, Lillie Martin, Pearl Lemmon and Mildred Crocker.

Mrs. Marie Cummings - Phoenix, AZ

Memorial may be given to Hastings Animal Shelter

VISITATION: Thur. 8-5-04; 9am-9pm with family present from 6pm-8pm
