Naomi Yost

August 2, 1932 — September 19, 2004

Former Hastings resident, Naomi R. Yost, 72, of Omaha, Nebraska, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at her home.

Graveside service and burial will be Wednesday, September 22, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska,

Memorial service will be Friday, September 24, 2004; 1:00 P.M. at Westside Southern Baptist Church, 150th Dodge St. Omaha, Nebraska with Pastor Jay Dess officiating.

Mrs. Yost was born August 2nd, 1932 to Ray & Ruth (Monson) Pontine in Saronville, Nebraska. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1949. She then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and worked in the executive office of Latch Brothers, then moved to a position with Wentz Oil Company. On July 19, 1949, she married Calvin H. Yost in the Harvard Methodist Church, Harvard, Nebraska. They spent 18 months in Omaha, when Cal was in barber college, then moved to Clay Center, Nebraska where she worked for Warner Construction. In 1955, she moved to Hastings where she was employed by Lochland Country club, then various commodity trading offices. She retired in 1985 and moved to Omaha, Nebraska 1996. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Mother Singers in Hastings and Westside Southern Baptist Church, Omaha, Nebraska.

Mrs. Yost was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one grandchild.

Jim Gold - stationed at Fort Campbell, KY
Brothers: Lyle Pontine - Prescott, AZ
Irwin Pontine - Pickerington, OH

Memorial may be given to Grace United Methodist Church - Hastings, NE or Westside Southern Baptist Church - Omaha, NE
