Nellie Corinne (Warren) Olson, 90, died on July 1, 2015 at Tabitha in Lincoln. She was born December 31, 1924 to Harley Lester Warren and Verda Nellie (Skinner) Warren of rural Giltner, Nebraska. She joined the Giltner Christian Church, March 22, 1936 and graduated from Giltner High School in 1942. She taught country school for a year at Case School, followed by a year at Mt. Hope, both in Hamilton County. She graduated from the Mary Lanning School of Nursing, Hastings, in May, 1947. She did private-duty nursing and assisted with the Adams County Red Cross Bloodmobile.
On November 30, 1947, she married Winston Atly Olson at Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church in Hastings and joined the church on March 21, 1948. The couple lived on the Olson family farm (settled in 1877) in Clay County, northeast of Hastings. Three children were born: Richard, Bette and Larry.
Nellie was a choir member at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, for over 40 years, taught the Kindergarten Sunday School Class for 35 years, and served on the Administrative Board and the Building Committee for the Education Wing. She was a long-time member of the Christian Builders Sunday School class, and the United Methodist Women's Circle, serving in various leadership positions of the Circle. She also served as a camp counselor for junior and senior high youth at the United Methodist Riverside Camp in Milford. At the District and Conference level, she served as the District Secretary of the United Methodist Women and served four years on the United Methodist Conference Board of Global Ministries.
She was a 50-year member of the Adams County West Blue Extension Club and sang in the Extension Chorus. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother in Trumbull, an active member of the Trumbull PTA and taught Bible School for many years at the Trumbull United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Trumbull Centennial Committee, working on the Centennial Book.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Winston, three brothers; Ed, Russel and Ellis Warren and one sister, Glenda Warren Wilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015, 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings. Private burial will be held in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings.
