Nita Bramble

Hastings resident, Nita Irene Bramble, 87, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Mary Lanning HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Tony Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Nebraska Heart Association or CCC Dental Assistant Scholarship Fund.

Nita was born to Elmer Ray Clark and Annamae (Talbott) Clark April 2, 1926 in Hastings, Nebraska. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944. On December 26, 1943 she married Dallas Bramble. Nita began her professional career in 1956 by earning her license in practical Nursing. She earned Dental Assisting Certificates from University of North Carolina and Central Community College in Hastings in 1961 and 1971. She graduated in 1977 from University Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocational Education/Health. Nita's employment included jobs at Hastings Regional Center, Mary Lanning Healthcare, Robert McPherson Dental Office and the Nebraska State Health Department/Dental. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Acacia Chapter #39, Queen City Rebekah Lodge #312 and Hastings Quilters Guild. As a Life member of the American and Nebraska Dental Assistant Association, and member of the Mid-State Dental Assistants Society, she held many offices and committee memberships and chairmanships. Nita volunteered for the Heart Association, Mary Lanning Healthcare Auxiliary, and Adams County Immunization Clinic/Head Start.Nita was on the founding committee of the Vital Signs Health Fair and served on the board of directors as its secretary. Nita won the Aloise B.Clements Achievement Award from the Nebraska Dental Assistants Association in 1965 and again in 1981. Nita had an Article called "Evacuation Tips" published in the American Dental Assistants Journal.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Clark; and granddaughter, Stacie Bramble.
