Noreen M. Salisbury

Hastings resident Noreen M. Salisbury, 92, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at her home.    

Rosary will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, December 3, at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 4, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Ryan Salisbury officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. with family present 3-5 p.m. Sunday, December 3, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Noreen was born September 15, 1931, in Rushville, NE to Mathias and Nora (Spielman) Roffers. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1947. Noreen married Wendell L. Salisbury on January 2, 1954; he preceded her in death on December 8, 2001.

Noreen was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband Wendell, in their construction business, she was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church where she kept up the rectory for many years. She enjoyed spending her time visiting with family and friends, as well as “friends” she met just passing by her front patio.

Noreen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wendell L. Salisbury; son, Terry Salisbury; sisters, Alice Faulk, Catherine Lynch, and Mary Rose Reid; and brother, Bill Roffers.
