Norma Gotheridge

Hastings resident, Norma Rose Gotheridge, 94, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in Hastings, Nebraska with family by her side.

Services will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Norma Rose Gotheridge Memorial Fund to be established at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Norma was born July 26, 1923, at her parents' homestead in Bladen, Nebraska to Edward Frank & Lula Mae (Feis) Kral. She graduated from Bladen High School, Bladen, Nebraska. Norma married F. Dale Gotheridge on July 10, 1943, in Medford, Oregon; he preceded her in death on December 2, 2009. Both Norma & Dale were extremely proud of 67 years of marriage, their three daughters and families.

Norma was a longtime employee and Director of Volunteer Services at Hastings Regional Center. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, past Nebraska Madam State President of F.O.E., lifetime member of Eagles Aerie #592, and lifetime member of V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Norma was one of kindest person God has blessed our world with. Her happiest times were cooking, gardening, but mostly spending time with her family. She was always a gracious lady full of love and compassion, teaching us all how to be kind.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, F. Dale Gotheridge; brother & spouse, Gerald & Ruth Kral; sister and spouse, Eldean & Ronald Mortensen; and niece, Susan Kaufman.
