Hastings resident, Norma J. Hoffman, 72, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Thursday, April 12, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, 621 North Lincoln Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska 68901.
Norma was born June 26, 1939 in Sutton, Nebraska to William R. & Viola M. (Rothrock) Curtis. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1957 and attended and graduated from Cosmetology School in Hastings. Norma married James R. Hoffman on June 8, 1958 at the Sutton Federated Church in Sutton, Nebraska. She retired in 1999 from Hastings Public Schools as a paraeducator after 26 years. Norma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary in Sutton, Nebraska Locksmith Auxiliary, past President of PTO, and past member of the Nebraska Bowling Association.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Shirley Colvert.
