Hastings resident, Norma M. Kothe, 92, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, November 21, 2015; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, southwest of Hastings. Memorials may be given to Start Over Rover. Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, November 21, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Norma was born August 13, 1923 to Irving J. & Etta M. (Boom) Meyer in Bladen, Nebraska. She graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1941. On May 7, 1950 she married Harry C. Kothe at First United Methodist Church in Bladen; he preceded her in death on January 15, 1980. Norma was a loving mother and homemaker. After her husband's death she worked for over 20 years at the Nutrition Depot in Hastings and as a foster grandparent at Head Start. Norma was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry C. Kothe; two brothers, Milton Meyer and Ralph Meyer; and one sister, Erma Huston.
