Olive Koepke

Olive Florence Koepke, 85,of Perkins Pavilion, died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Wednesday, July 24, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. James P. Cooke officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Olive Florence Koepke was born April 4, 1918 in Lincoln, Nebraska to William Henry & Ada (Reese) Newhouse. She spent her childhood in Auburn, Nebraska where she graduated from high school in 1936. She worked in Falls City, Nebraska, later marrying Glen Stumbo and moving to Omaha, Nebraska. The couple had two children, a son Gary and a daughter, Cheryl. They divorced and Mrs. Koepke moved with her children to Hastings in 1948. She worked at Clark Motor Company in Hastings as a bookkeeper for a few years. In 1954, she began working for Mary Lanning Hospital and spent 31 years there, retiring from the accounting department in 1985. Mrs. Koepke then worked at the Lockwood Dental Office. In 1969, she married Gilbert Koepke and he preceded her in death on December 22,1975. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a 4-H leader and a member of the Eastern Star and Business Professional Women.

Olive Florence Koepke was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gilbert Koepke.

Daughter: Cheryl Lockwood - Hastings, NE
4 Grandchildren
2 Great Grandchildren
Brother: Kenneth Newhouse - Omaha, NE

Memorial may be given to PAC2, a parenting & child care center at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
