Oliver H. Pielstick, 88, of 1235 N. Laird Ave., Apt 112, died Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Thursday, October 4, 2001; 1:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Sam Rathod & Rev. Doug Griger officiating. Burial will be Thursday, October 4, 2001; 3:15 P.M. in Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska.
Oliver H. Pielstick was born December 2, 1912 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Charles F. & Minnie J. (Hughes) Pielstick. He graduated from York High School, York, Nebraska and attended William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri. On July 17, 1937, he married Eva Eloe. He was owner operator of Gambles Store in Franklin, Nebraska for many years. While living in Franklin, he was a member of United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and also sang in the choir. He was on the City Council and served on the board of Franklin Country Club and on the Golden Age Village Retirement Center board for 22 years. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1998 from Franklin, Nebraska and he became a member of First United Methodist Church and Gideon Bible Society.
Oliver H. Pielstick was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Malcom & Don and 2 sisters, Verna Metzger and Marvelle Anderson.
