Orbra Swartz

Orbra O. Swartz, 90, of 827 Williams, died Monday, July 9, 2001 at his home.

Services will be Friday, July 13, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Orbra O. Swartz was born April 27, 1911 on the family farm near Lushton, Nebraska to Harvey J. & Bessie M. (Mart) Swartz. He graduated from Lushton High School and attended York College, York, Nebraska. He married Margaret K. Sandall on October 11, 1931 and she preceded him in death in 1985. They farmed in Fillmore & York County until they retired in 1973 and moved to Hastings, Nebraska. Margaret & Orbra celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1981. In 1987, he married Claudia Eichstedt and she preceded him in death in May of 2001. Orbra was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a past president of Eagles Aerie #592.

Orbra O. Swartz was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Margaret, 2nd wife, Claudia, 1 brother, Cecil, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson.
