Orville P. Klein, 80, of Haven Home of Kenesaw, Nebraska died Friday, December 21, 2001 at Haven Home.
Rosary service will be Wednesday, December 26, 2001; 10:30 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Steven Major officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Kearney City Cemetery, Kearney, Nebraska, Wednesday, December 26, 2001; 1:00 P.M.
Orville P. Klein was born March 22, 1921 in Roseland, Nebraska to Peter & Lena (Reis) Klein. He graduated from Roseland High School, Roseland, Nebraska and served in the United States Army during WWII from September 4, 1942 to December 15, 1945. He married Marie Loskill in Assumption, Nebraska on July 7, 1948. He was the superintendent of the Waste Treatment Plant for the City of Hastings until 1974. He moved to Kearney, Nebraska where he held the same position until his retirement in 1988. In 1998, they moved to Kenesaw, Nebraska. He was a past member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, American Legion, V.F.W. and a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus all in Hastings, Nebraska. He attended St. James Catholic Church, Kearney, Nebraska.
Orville P. Klein was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Helen Rothfuss & & Goldae Whiting, 1 brother, Glenn Klein, an infant son, 2 grandchildren, Peter & Patricia Klein.
