Otto Hubel

Hastings resident, Otto F. Hubel, 87, of 1116 Sycamore Avenue #2, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, April 23, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Chambers Cemetery, Chambers, Nebraska at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Joel Plisek officiating. Memorial may be given to Donor's Choice or the family. Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2007; 3 P.M. to 9P.M, & Sunday, April 22, 2007; 1P.M. to 9P.M. & Monday, April 23, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service all at the funeral home.

Mr. Hubel was born February 11, 1920 in Bliss, Nebraska to Frank & Antonia (Tagel) Hubel. He attended District 73 in Holt County, Nebraska. He served in the United States Navy Reserve from January 27, 1942 until December 26, 1945. On June 15, 1947, he married Violet Lee Sanderson. He completed a nine week course at Omaha Welding Company and also had vocational training in welding at Wilmington, California. He was a livestock feeder & livestock order buyer in Clearwater, Nebraska. He moved from Clearwater to Hastings, Nebraska in 1991.

Mr. Hubel was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Wayne, brothers, Bill, Frank J. Carl, Frank A., sisters, Hilda, Christina, Adelia, & Millie.
