Patricia "Billie" Spooner

Hastings resident Patricia “Billie” Spooner, 77, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, peacefully at her home after a battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Billie was born July 8, 1947, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was adopted at the age of three in Valley, NE to the Vigils. She attended high school in Valley and graduated in 1965. She worked at several restaurants using her joyful personality to become friends with anyone and everyone. She moved to Hastings in 1992 and a week later she met the love of her life, Patrick Spooner, and they’ve been together ever since. 

They were married on March 17, 2004, in Kearney, NE. They traveled many miles together in Pat’s semi. Billie had a great heart and personality and was never afraid of saying what was on her mind. Her eclectic fashion sense was as unique as her personality. 

Billie was preceded in death by her parents.
