Patricia Davis

Hastings resident, Patricia R. Davis, 58, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Sunday, May 1, 2011; 7:00 P.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 2, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the rosary and mass at the church. Memorials may be given to the Patricia R. Davis Memorial Fund.

Patricia was born May 1, 1952 in North Platte, Nebraska to Lloyd M. & Ella M. (McKillip) Favinger. She graduated from North Platte St. Patrick's High School and moved to Hastings in 1970. She graduated from Mary Lanning School of Nursing in 1973. On February 3, 1973 she married Rick Davis at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings. Patricia worked as a registered neo-natal nurse for Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare. Patricia was instrumental in the development of the Level II Nursery at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare. Patricia retired from Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare in 2006 to spend more time with her family. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church and active member of the Altar Society. Patricia enjoyed helping with the prayer chain through the Altar Society which was very rewarding for her. She really enjoyed taking pictures of her family and grandchildren and putting them into albums and journaling on each photo. Patricia also enjoyed traveling and taking short "getaways" with Rick. She enjoyed shopping and gardening with her favorite flowers being geraniums. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and her family was very important to her. Patricia thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother and was very excited for the new addition due in August. Patricia lived life to the fullest and wanted each of us to celebrate life every day! Patricia's beautiful smile will be missed by so many.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.
