Patricia Kay "Pat" McCready

Hastings resident Patricia Kay “Pat” McCready, 83, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her home.   

Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, at First Christian Church in Hastings with Pastor Tamara Holtz officiating. There will be no burial held at this time. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Pat was born March 17, 1940, in Phillipsburg, KS to Dick and Kathleen (Townsend) Culwell. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1959. Pat married Gerald McCready on June 22, 1958; he preceded her in death on November 8, 2009.

Pat worked in the hotel business for 20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Pat loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her dogs, bowling, and cooking. Pat and Gerald loved to dance to polka music. 

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald McCready; and sister, Naomi Griffin.
