Patricia Post

Hastings resident, Patricia Post, 60, of 1010 West 10th, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, August 11, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at the Salvation Army Chapel, 400 South Burlington, with Ken Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2006; 9am-9pm with family present 7pm-9pm at Butler-Volland Funeral Home & Friday, August 11, 2006; 1 hr. prior to service at the Salvation Army Chapel. Memorials to the family.

Mrs. Post was born February 7, 1946 in Superior, Nebraska to Rasmus & Ruth (Hepler) Hansen. She graduated from Superior Public School. She was a social worker at the Hastings Salvation Army since September 1, 1987. On March 23, 1996, she married Jerry J. Post in Church of Christ, Hastings, Nebraska. Mrs. Post enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren, collecting dolls, traveling and caring for her flowers. She was actively involved with community work. She was a founding member of Open Tables. A member of the Homeless Coalition for Adams County, a member of the Social Service Coalition for Adams County and numerous other coalitions involving social services on a state level. She was honored with the Presidents Club Award by Avon in 2005-2006. She was also a member of the Hastings Church of Christ.

Mrs. Post was preceded in death by her parents.
