Patricia Ann Schmidt

Hastings resident Patricia Ann Schmidt, 82, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 11, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Grand Island. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. with family present 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 10, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Patricia was born July 11, 1941, in Burwell, NE to Chester R. and Jessie M. (Butcher) Johnson. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. Patricia married Robert F. Schmidt on April 7, 1962, in Grand Island, NE; he preceded her in death on August 2, 1992. She worked at Allen’s and Russ’s as a cashier and was a homemaker.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert F. Schmidt; brothers, Randy Johnson Sr. and Jerry Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Sharon Johnson and Karen Kelly.
