Paul O'Callaghan, Sr

March 29, 1927 — July 17, 2001

Paul Joseph Peter O'Callaghan, Sr.,74, of 310 W. 7th, died May 17, 2001 at his home with family present after a long battle with heart disease.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 19, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. His body was donated to Medical Science. Private family interment at a later date.

Paul Joseph Peter O'Callaghan was born March 29, 1927 in Columbus, Nebraska to William & Cecilia (Eller) O'Callaghan. After graduating from Humphrey St. Francis Catholic School,he served in the United States Navy during WWII from May 24, 1945 until July 2, 1946. He married Faith Irene Johnson on October 26, 1945. He was maintenance engineer for Hastings Catholic Schools for many years. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a resident of Hastings, Nebraska for the last 35 years.

Paul Joseph Peter O'Callaghan, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, a son, William Charles Lee O'Callaghan, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
