Pearl Bunde

Hastings resident, Pearl E. Bunde, 94, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Perkins Pavilion-Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, NE.

Service is at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Andrea Paulson officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Pearl was born on May 25, 1925, in Genoa, NE to Herman E. and Signe C. (Kallberg) Nelson. Pearl graduated from Immanuel Medical Center, Omaha, NE as part of the Army Cadet Nursing Program. Pearl married Raymond A.C. Bunde on October 4, 1947. She worked at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and as the family grew, became a stay at home mother and homemaker. Pearl and Raymond returned to Hastings in 1971 from Lincoln. Pearl was an avid Husker fan.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond A. C. Bunde; sister, Dorothy Nelson; brother, Kenneth Nelson; sister and brother-in-law, Harriet & Bud Plantz.
