Former Hastings resident, Peggy L. Johnson, 76, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, died Friday, October 06, 2006 at Sandhills Manor, Broken Bow, Nebraska.
Services will be Friday, October 13, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2006; 9am-9pm with family present 7pm-9pm & Friday, October 13, 2006; 9am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials to the family.
Mrs. Johnson was born February 18, 1930 in Hastings, Nebraska to Henry Herman & Edna L. (Stark) Bexten. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1947 and attended college for 1 year. On April 30, 1950, she married Alvar W. 'Al' Johnson in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a past member of First United Methodist Church and DAR. She enjoyed sewing, & crafts and owned Country Collection from 1986-1989. After retirement, she moved to Florida in 1991 and returned to Nebraska in 2005.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Elizabeth Marble, one brother and two sisters.
