Hastings resident Peggy J. Palmer, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at The Kensington, Hastings, NE.
Graveside Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Peggy was born May 12, 1938, in Winona, MO to Everett O. & Virgie V. (Smith) Moore. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1955. Peggy married William D. “Bill” Palmer on January 9, 1959; he preceded her in death on February 18, 2015.
Peggy and Bill were the owners of Thrifty Lube in Fremont. She was a member of First Christian Church in Fremont. Peggy relocated to Hastings in 2015. She grew up in southern Missouri and loved it there. Peggy loved entertaining friends and family in her home and enjoyed her time quilting. She was a wonderful mother.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William D. “Bill” Palmer; and brother, Wayne “Al” Moore.
