Peggy M. Thaut-Holdeman

Hastings resident Peggy M. Thaut-Holdeman, 95, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7, at North Shore Assembly of God in Hastings with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. A private burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. A book signing will be 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Peggy was born April 25, 1928, in Tipton, OK to Herman and Marie (Rogers) Hobbs. She married Raymond Thaut on April 8, 1945, in Lubbock, TX; he preceded her in death on July 19, 1991. Peggy married Orval Holdeman in 2000 in Red Cloud, NE.

Peggy worked various jobs as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of North Shore Assembly of God where she was involved in several church groups.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Raymond Thaut; son, Jeff Thaut; son-in-law, Joe Soares; and sister, Marceline Thaut.
