Hastings resident, Phyllis E. Hartzell, 84, of 1115 N. Lexington #5, died Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Thursday, January 29, 2004; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Neil Vik officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Hartzell was born February 18, 1919 in Marquette, Nebraska to Harold & Ida (Danhauer) Larsen. She attended Kearney State Teachers College in Kearney, Nebraska and taught school in Marquette, Giltner and Stockham, Nebraska. She married Clayton Hartzell on February 3, 1940 in Seward, Nebraska and resided at Aurora, Nebraska until 1950, when they moved to Hastings, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was employed at the Hastings Regional Center and J.M. McDonald's Company until retirement on March 9, 1979.
Mrs. Hartzell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clayton, brother, Darrell Larsen and a sister Donnice Jensen.
