Phyllis Shockey

Fairfield resident Phyllis Jean Shockey, 62, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Memorial Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. There will be no burial. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Phyllis was born July 18, 1955, in Corpus Christi, TX. She graduated from Beatrice High School in 1973. Phyllis married Robert Shockey on July 23, 1973. She worked with disabled children with the school systems and the State of Nebraska.

Phyllis liked to gamble and loved the penny slot machines. She mainly enjoyed spending time with family, family was the center of her world. She always had a smile on her face.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Ralph; brothers, Dwayne and Ronald; and grandson, Caleb Johansen.
