Rachel Sloggett

Former Hastings resident, Rachel G. Sloggett, 82 passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at Living Community of St. Joseph, St. Joseph, MO.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at Juniata United Methodist Church, Juniata, Nebraska with Kathy Uldrich officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to Juniata United Methodist Church.

Rachel was born August 15, 1933 to Frank W. & Elsie M. (Nelson) Hoblyn in Ansley, Nebraska. She graduated from Ansley High School. Rachel married Everett "Gene" Sloggett on April 5, 1961 in Englewood, Colorado; he preceded her in death on November 21, 2005. Rachel was a homemaker. She was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women's Club and camping clubs.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one infant sister; and great granddaughter, Ava.
