Hastings resident, Ralph E. Galloway, 93, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Graveside services will be Friday, April 16, 2010; 1:30 P.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings with Pastor Barry Rempp officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2010; 12:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First Congregational Church.
Ralph was born December 12, 1916 in Norcatur, Kansas to Frank & Hattie (Shaw) Galloway and was the youngest of five children. He graduated from Hastings High School and was employed for over 40 years at Wendell Foote Oil Company. He was married for over 63 years to Doris L. Herberg, who preceded him in death on July 26, 2001. They had one daughter, Chanda. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and UCT. Ralph was known for his honesty and dedication to his family. He had lived at the Villa at Good Samaritan Village until a sudden decline in his health moved him into Perkins Pavilion where he died.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Galloway; three brothers; and 1 sister.
