Ramona Smithson

Hastings resident Ramona Lynn Smithson, 56, went to her final reward Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Memorial Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17, at Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings with Pastor Kent Rogers officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Ramona was born June 20, 1962, to Floyd and Donna (Funkhouser) Riblett in Kearney, NE. She attended and graduated from Grand Island Senior High. Ramona married Michael K. Smithson on July 30, 1985, at the United Methodist Church in Doniphan, NE. She was a retail clerk at various locations in her life and loved her family, cats, penguins, and playing on-line video games and, of course, the Chicago Cubs.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and son, Benjamin Smithson.
