Randy Evans

Hastings resident, Randy L. Evans, 76, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Service will be Monday, October 21, 2013; 10:30 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Iowa. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Randy was born October 11, 1937 in Carson, Iowa to Edward & Goldye (Clough) Evans. He was raised in Carson and graduated from high school. Randy served in the U.S. Air Force from December 9, 1955 - September 15, 1959. He married Ona Mitchell. Later they divorced and she preceded him in death. His job with Briggs Transportation brought him to Nebraska, and he married Marilyn (Silva) Bourg on March 12, 1982. After working for 45 years as an OTR driver, Randy retired in 2002 from Yellow Transportation. He was a member of Teamsters and Eagles Aerie 592.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, James Micek; one niece; and one nephew.
