Hastings resident, Raymond D. Collister, 80, of Good Samaritan Village, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion.
Memorial services will be Friday, December 23, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Earl Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. No viewing or visitation. Mr. Collister was cremated.
Mr. Collister was born May 31, 1925 Bertrand, Nebraska to Ray & Loova (Burnston) Collister. He was raised in Cozad, Nebraska and graduated from Cozad High School. He attended the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska for 2 years. He served in the United States Navy from August 3, 1943 to October 31, 1947. After his discharge, he moved to Hastings, Nebraska. He married Romina Rickel on June 15, 1952. He was a welder for Hastings Industries for many years. He was a member of International Association of Machinists #1394.
Mr. Collister was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Roland Collister.
