Raymond Kissinger

January 16, 1921 — October 2, 2016

Glenvil resident, Raymond K. Kissinger, 95, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Private graveside services for the immediate family will be held at the Glenvil Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Cancer Society. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings.

Raymond Keith Kissinger was born January 16, 1921 to Ray J. & Bertha Kissinger near Glenvil, Nebraska. He graduated from Glenvil High School. After graduation he farmed and fed cattle near Glenvil. He met his wife, Irma Atkinson in Hastings, Nebraska. They were united in marriage on October 8, 1944 at the Baptist Church in Hastings; she preceded him in death on April 27, 2001. To that union, two sons were born, Stephen and Craig. Raymond and Irma were confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil on April 23, 1950 and remained long time members of that church. They spent many winters in Scottsdale, Arizona. Raymond was currently a resident of College View Assisted Living.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Charlotte Ellermeier and Doris Frazer and their spouses; and brother-in-law, Robert Loskill.
