Renee Johnson

Hastings resident, Reneé M. Johnson, 61, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at her home.

Rosary will be 9:30 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will following at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, one hour prior to service at the church.

Reneé was born June 24, 1954 in Hastings, Nebraska to William "Bill" & Irene (Portenier) Havel. She graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1972 and attended Grand Island School of Business for one year. Reneé married Richard "Dick" Johnson on November 30, 1974 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. She worked as a food service manager for Sodexho at Hastings College. Reneé was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and Altar Society. She belonged to a woman's bowling league for many years and enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake with family and friends.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents.
