Hastings resident, Allen James Boeve, 75, of 804 circle 'P', Good Samaritan Village, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Mary Lanning Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday, March 14, 2006; 10: 30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Boeve was born June 30, 1930 in Prairie View, Kansas to James & Allie (Dekker) Boeve. He attended school in Kansas and graduated from Ireton High School, Ireton, Iowa. He received his B.A. degree from Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, his B.D. degree (Bachelor of Divinity) from Western Seminary in Holland, Michigan; Systematic Theology Masters degree from Vancouver School of Theology, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; and a Masters of Education degree from South Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota. Pastorates he has served include; North Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; Bismarck, North Dakota; Castlewood, Davis, Scotland and Tyndall, South Dakota; Jetmore, Kansas; Loup City & Rockville, Nebraska and moved to Hastings, Nebraska in July of 2004 from Grand Island, Nebraska. He taught Bible and History at Freeman Jr. College and Academy at Freeman, South Dakota; and at Sioux Falls Christian High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He married Jean Haverhals at Sioux Center, Iowa on November 1, 1950.
Mr. Boeve was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Audrene Solomonson & Lynette Boeve.
