Rex Illingworth

Fairfield resident, Rex W. Illingworth, 59, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, June 23, 2014; 10:30 A.M. at Community Presbyterian Church, Fairfield with Brother Jim Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield. Visitation will be Saturday, June 21, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 22, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Rex W. Illingworth Memorial Fund.

Rex was born July 20, 1954 in Hastings, Nebraska to Dean & Mary J. (Squires) Illingworth. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1972. Rex married Amber D. Lumsden on June 3, 1995. He farmed in the Fairfield area for many years and was a member of South Central Cattlemen's Association, Nebraska Cattlemen's Association, Nebraska Simmental Association, American Simmental Association, Sons of the American Legion, and was the President of the Fairfield Rural Fire Board.

Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Mary J. Illingworth; mother-in-law, Rosita Lumsden; and brother-in-law, Shane Lumsden.
