Kenesaw resident, Richard Gene Junker, 78, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Friday, May 22, 2015; 2:00 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Juniata with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating assisted by Vicar Matthew Douglas (grandson). Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church or National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Rich was a lifelong resident of Adams County. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Rich loved music, the beauty of nature, creative sculpture welding, and spending time with family and friends. He was well known for his great sense of humor and sweet nature. He was a farmer and was employed for many years by Hastings Industries and Deweese Sand and Gravel.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christina Junker; parents- in-law, Lloyd and Mary Hohlen; brother, Robert Junker; sister, Thelma Uden; brothers-in-law, Larry Peters and Lloyd James (Jim) Hohlen; and sister-in-law, Naomi Junker.
