Richard Monie

Former Pauline resident, Richard L. Monie, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Golden Living Center - Grand Island Lakeview, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 9, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Richard was born March 28, 1945, in Hastings, Nebraska to Clarence & Nona (Morris) Monie. He married Dixie Freeman; they later divorced. Richard was employed as a meat slicer for Conagra, until he retired. Richard lived for and spent his most of his free time fishing. Richard knew no strangers and enjoyed visiting with everyone he happened by. He will be missed by so many.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald Monie, Eugene "John" Monie, Robert Monie, and Verle Monie; and sister, Judy Monie.
