Ricki Sanford

Harvard resident, Ricki L. Sanford, 59, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, Aurora, Nebraska.

Service will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015; 3:00 P.M. at Harvard United Church of Christ with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. The family requests casual wear for those attending the service. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr. Memorials may be given to the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24, 2015; 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, Hastings, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Ricki was born July 29, 1955 in Hastings, Nebraska to Merlin & Kathleen (Hardy) Sanford. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1974. Ricki married Sherry Owens on September 15, 1979. He worked as a machinist at Flo-Serve. Ricki was a member of Harvard United Church of Christ, Harvard Gun Club, and NRA. He enjoyed guns, hunting, motorcycles with his first being his favorite, spending time with his grandchildren, he was an avid Husker fan and loved chocolate.

Ricki was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Hailey Sanford; brother-in-law, Larry Red Owens; and half-sister, Marjo Eng.
