Hastings resident, Rita R. Bonham, 80, of 310 N. Bellevue, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village.
Rosary will be Sunday, July 16 2006; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 17 2006; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jerel Scholl officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Bonham was born September 7, 1925 in Winona, Minnesota to Peter & Rosella (Derwoin) Polus. She graduated from Cathedral High School, Winona, Minnesota, as salutatorian in 1944. On May 10, 1947, she married Donald H. Bonham at St. Thomas Pro Cathedral in Winona, Minnesota. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1965. She was employed at Knights of Columbus, J C Penney Department Store, and the Engineering Maintenance secretary at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, all in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a charter member of St. Michael's Altar Society.
Mrs. Bonham was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson and a brother, James Polus of Winona, Minnesota.
