Rita Sunday

Hastings resident Rita R. Sunday, 62, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus, Lincoln, NE.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at First United Methodist Church in Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger and Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Rathod officiating. The family requests casual attire be worn if attending service. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Rita R. Sunday Memorial Fund. Visitation is 1-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Private condolences may be sent to the family at 323 East 5 ^th Street, Hastings, NE 68901.

Rita was born December 3, 1955, in Omaha, NE to Joseph & Pauline Delgado. She moved to Hastings from Colorado in the late 1960’s. Rita married Ron L. Sunday on October 31, 1972.

Rita was employed as a housekeeping director by Good Samaritan Village for 25 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the Co-Chair of the Women’s Group #2.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Joseph Delgado, Jr, Richard Delgado, and Raymond Delgado.
