Sutton resident, Robert G. 'Bob' Batt, 82, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Banner Gardens Hospice House, Mesa, Arizona.

Services with Masonic Rites will be Friday, May 5, 2006; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Bill Jardine officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Batt was born September 4, 1923 in Hastings, Nebraska to Jacob W. & Emma E. (Churchill) Batt. He graduated from Hastings High School, Hastings, Nebraska. In 1943, he married Margaret Ketelson. He married Greta Polenske on June 13, 1959 and she preceded him in death in 1989. He owned Bob's Kiddie Kastle before Bob's Card & Party Shop. On September 7, 2001, he married Kay (Freese) Wach. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #50 in Hastings. He was a past Worthy Patron Sutton Chapter #54 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former member of the Scottish Rite and the Knights of Templer. He was on the Board of Governors of the Shrine Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a member of the Tehama Shrine Temple, a permanent contributing member of the Shrine Hospital, Past Potentate and a member of Tehama Temple Cabiri. He was a member of the Tehama Arab Patrol, Royal Order of the Jesters Court #152-Past Director, DeMolay Legion of Honor. He was also a member of the Rotary Club, life member of B.P.O Elks, past member of Lochland Country Club and active in the YMCA softball association.

Mr. Batt was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Greta and sister, Jeanette Olsen.
