Robert Bloem

November 2, 1919 — September 10, 2005

Hastings resident, Robert J. Bloem, 85, of 115 East 9th Street, died Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, September 14, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Randy Madison and Rev. Matt Sass officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Bloem was born November 2, 1919 in Adams County, near Pauline, Nebraska to Herman B. & Theresa (Johnson) Bloem. He graduated from Pauline High School. He married Bernice Lundeen on October 8, 1950 in Hastings. He was a lifetime farmer in the Glenvil area and north of Hastings. He was a long-time past member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church near Glenvil, where he served as an Elder, Treasurer, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher. He is a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Hastings. He also was a member of the Gideons International for over 50 years. He was a skilled woodworker.

Mr. Bloem was preceded in death by his parents.

Daughter: Lois Bloem - Hastings, NE
Brother: Harold H. Bloem - Owego, NY
Niece and Nephew

Memorial may be given to Evangelical Free Church or Gideons International

VISITATION: Mon. 9-12-05; 9am-9pm
Tue. 9-13-05; 9am-9pm Family 7-9pm
Wed. 9-14-05; 1 hr. prior to service at church
