Robert Brown

Doniphan resident, Robert R. "Bob" Brown, 78, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, May 7, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at Doniphan United Methodist Church with Pastor Kelly Karges officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at the church in Doniphan.

Bob was born November 7, 1937 to Ralph R. Brown and Mabel (Gerdes) Brown at home near Doniphan, Nebraska. He graduated from Hastings High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 - 1960. On May 25, 1963 Bob married Gloria Lenz at the Doniphan Methodist Church. Bob worked at Dutton-Lainson before he was employed as a punch press operator for 25 years for New Holland before retiring. He was a past member of Doniphan United Methodist Church where he was an active member in various church groups, was a past volunteer fireman in Doniphan, and a member of the Doniphan Lions Club.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son, Heath Robert Brown; sister, Charlotte Munsterman; and brother-in-law, Bill Duffy; and beloved dog, Tealy.
