Robert Bruntz

Hastings resident, Robert L. "Bob" Bruntz, 92, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015; 10:00 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Josh Davis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or donor's choice.

Bob was born November 29, 1922 to Alex & Elizabeth (Reiber) Bruntz in Hastings, Nebraska. He married Doris E. Hartman on April 21, 1946 in Hastings and she preceded him in death on December 30, 2014. Bob was a dedicated farmer, farming north of Hastings most of his life and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was also a member of Hastings Skylarks, volunteered at Mary Lanning Healthcare, and served on the District 31 School Board for many years. He bowled on a church league and gave countless hours to Faith Lutheran Church. Bob's family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, were very important to him. He enjoyed watching their activities and never missed an opportunity to be involved in all their lives.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Beverly (Wright) Bruntz; and brothers; Ed and Don Bruntz.
