Hastings resident, Robert J. Burch, 94, Sr., 510 East 6th St., died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, June 3, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Carl W. Utley officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Robert J. Burch, Sr. was born September 7, 1907 in Noble County, Oklahoma to Joel M. & Minnie A. (McKee) Burch. At the age of 16, he began working in the oil fields for Gulf Oil Company as an oil driller, retiring after 39 years. He married Eva Marie Howe in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on February 8, 1932 and she preceded him in death on November 25, 1988. He moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1977 from Oklahoma.

Robert J. Burch, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eva Marie, son, Robert J. Burch, Jr., 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Grandsons: Robert W. Burch - Hastings, NE
Richard J. Burch - Lincoln, NE
7 Great Grandchildren
1 Great-Great Grandchild
