Hastings resident, Robert 'Lee' Gamble, 79, of 419 So. Burlington, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at his home.
Memorial services will be Friday, June 10, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Interment in Beloit, Kansas at a later date.
Mr. Gamble was born February 3, 1926 in Asherville, Kansas to Robert E. Lee & Beulah Mae (Moss) Gamble. He graduated from Beloit High School, Beloit, Kansas and served in the United States Army 76th Signal Core during WWII from August 12, 1944 to June 28, 1946. On June 11, 1950, he married Beth Ann Bunch in Beloit, Kansas. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska and he was a diesel mechanic for Hastings Motor Truck & Holt Truck & Trailer. He was a member of V.F.W. and a past member of Hoppin Sams Camp Club.
Mr. Gamble was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, brothers, Charles, & Eddy Gamble and a sister, Ruby Gamble.
