Robert Hatfield

December 2, 1934 — April 11, 2001

Robert L. Hatfield, 66, of 728 Creighton, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at his home.

Services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John L. Ross officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Robert L. Hatfield was born December 2, 1934 in Pawnee City, Nebraska to James Albert & Hazel Marie (Richardson) Hatfield. He graduated from Hastings High School and also from Hastings College. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from March 2, 1954 to March 1, 1956. He married Marlys Theesen on June 7, 1958. He worked for Social Security for over 30 years as both a field representative and also an operations supervisor. He was an active member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, church choir and Hastings Chorus of the Plains. He enjoyed working with wood and building custom furniture.

Robert L. Hatfield was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd

Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
