Robert Hoffman

Robert M. 'Bob' Hoffman, 62, of 820 S. Pine #169, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, July 26, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Carl H Rehwaldt officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Robert M. 'Bob' Hoffman was born July 14, 1940 in Hastings, Nebraska to Merle D. & Inez Lorane (Hembery) Hoffman. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1958 and attended Community College, Milford, Nebraska and majored in jewelry making. In 1957, he was Nebraska state trampoline champion and also Mid America AAU regional champion held in Chicago, Illinois. He worked for Hibbs Jewelry and Brodkeys Jewelry stores. He was also a dispatcher for the Hastings Fire Department and retired from Cornhusker Press in 1996. After retirement he was a courtesy driver for Kerr Chevrolet. He was an Indian artifact collector and excavated lodge sites. He loved fishing, hunting and Nebraska football. He was a life long Hastings resident.

Robert M. 'Bob' Hoffman was preceded in death by his parents.
